Heartaches and Love Letters
Jackson recorded his newest EP at the all-analog studio ‘Welcome to 1979’ in Nashville Tn.
“I wanted to create something different with this EP. I wanted to get back to the roots of music, and that’s why we decided to track on analog tape. These songs are real, passionate, and genuine. I did not want any pitch correction used on any song or instrument. We intended to capture the raw emotion of all the songs I wrote.”
Bobby Mckee and Jackson co-produced the EP and assembled a band that consisted of some of the best musicians in Nashville. Drums: Stan Saxon, Electric Guitar: Bobby Mckee, Bass: Micheal C. Steele, Organ & Piano: Billy Livsey, Acoustic Guitar: Ed Smoake, Steel Guitar: Smith Curry, Violin & Acoustic Guitar: Jackson Lawrence, Backing Vocals: Mike Rogers, Percussion: Cameron McClaren.

What Do You Say
Jump in my car let’s make our get away
Chase the sunset find our better day
Our dreams are here to stay
Don’t worry bout tomorrow and what you can’t see
As long as were together that’s all you’ll ever need
Baby take this chance with me
Lets Get out of here, never come back
The rhythm of the road that’ll be our soundtrack.
somewhere where only God knows our name
What do ya say
Tear off that rearview cause, we ain’t turning around.
Until our feet touch new ground
Something different something new
Something that says me and you
The streetlights of our hometown
Are fading in the background
We’re going to make a new start
Oh yea we are
Lets Get out of here, never come back
The rhythm of the road that’ll be our soundtrack.
somewhere where only God knows our name
What do ya say
Love Letter
Just the other day, I found an old love letter
The page was torn, a little weathered
Those words took me back, to a different place
It’s been along time but I can still see her face
Those days were long
Nights were fast
Holding on to something that was never going last
I thought by now I could forget her
But damn these memories from an old love letter
Graduation came too soon that may
Life began to take us separate ways
You had to find yourself out in Colorado
I thought about you everywhere I’d go
Those night were long
Years went by fast
Holding on to something that was never coming back
I thought by now I could forget her
But damn these memories from an old love letter
Heartache
I ain’t gonna sing you no love sick song
We’ve past that point it’s been way too long
I can’t tell where your heart lies
I damn well know it’s not here with mine
Don’t walk away, don’t hide
Just tell me why
Is it so, here with me
To make you leave
All that we have
All that we’ve made
You’d throw it all away
And leave, the heartache
You just don’t seem to care anymore
Every step is closer towards the door
Before you close it and say we’re through
I need to hear it straight from you
Don’t walk away don’t lie,
Just tell me why
Is it so, here with me
To make you leave
All that we have
All that we’ve made
You’d throw it all away
And leave, the heartache
It aint got to be this way
Just turn around and stay
Is it so, here with me
To make you leave
All that we have
All that we’ve made
You’d throw it all away
And leave, the heartache
